engagement photography
Congrats! You're engaged! Now what?! Well, if you're here, you've probably begun the process of planning already! Now you probably want to know at this point in the process: How do we know if Kathryn is the right photographer for us? Like any good relationship, it takes time! First, if you've stuck around and like what you see, that's a good sign!
I really value when clients are collaborators in the process. Let's get creative! Over the years, I fully realize how important it is for me to trust and honor my clients ideas and thoughts about their photographs. It helps me relax my ego and actually soften into the space where I create much more authentic and rewarding photographs for you.
So, if you're still here, I propose you continue to get to know my work and when you have a minute feel free to text or call. This is the best way I know how to really get to know one another and find out what the next steps are in your engagement journey <3
How do you feel when you think about having your picture taken? Yeah? Me too! Actually, I *used* to feel that way. Now, I have a process that I use and I actually really love having my photo taken (ok, maybe it's still hard, but now I feel like the pictures actually look like *me*)!
This process has been created by me for me and it is an honor to be able to share it with others. Whether I'm working with a couple during their engagement session, or ahead of a portrait session on tintype, I work through a series a techniques that help bring your face and body into better alignment. We go through some intentional breath patterns and bringing awareness to different things that allow for you to show up more authentically on camera.
I want to share this with as many people as possible as it has transformed my work and hopefully you will find benefit as well with this technique. Send me a text and I can tell you more about what it will look like for you <3
